Great Pyrenees (long coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Adult : : X-Large
Townley is a truly gorgeous boy, although his photos don't do him justice. His coat is actually a beautiful white, but it looks sandy red in his photos because he lives in our horse barn, with the round pen as his exercise yard. He IS house-trained and would rather be living in the house, but we don't have any foster homes where he could be the only dog. You see, Townley is as sweet as they come when it comes to people, but he is completely unpredictable with dogs. We have introduced him to several dogs, and occasionally, he does fine. More often, he does not. He can be aggressive to other dogs, and we haven't figured out what triggers him. Accordingly, we will only allow him to be adopted into a home where he will be the only dog -- king of his castle. We don't think Townley is the kind of dog who should go to the dog park, because he's just too unpredictable with other dogs. If you have experience with Great Pyrenees, if you have a nice big yard with good fencing (preferably wood privacy fence), if you don't feel like you need to take your dog with you everywhere you go in public, then please consider Townley. In spite of his unpredictability with other dogs, he has been very sweet with every human who has met him during his time with us. He deserves a family who will love him in spite of his imperfection, just as we all hope to be loved in spite of OUR flaws. Please submit your application on our website at www.bluebonnetrescue.org.
