Gracie Bess is an absolutely gorgeous girl! But of course we don't have to tell you that -- you can see for yourself in her photos. Gracie is a lively young girl who is safe with chickens and other livestock BUT she is not cut out for life in the pasture. She enjoys time outside, and that girl can find a mud puddle quicker than any other dog we have! But she prefers living close to her people instead of staying in the pasture with livestock. Gracie is house/potty-trained and crate-trained. Her only bad habit in the house is that she's a stealthy counter-surfer, and since she's a tall girl, she has no trouble getting whatever she wants off the kitchen counter. Gracie is quite the athlete and has no trouble clearing a 5' tall fence, so 6' tall fencing is a must for this pretty girl. She gets along with other dogs (as you can see in some of her photos), but she plays rough. Some dogs don't like that, and will react negatively, which can lead to a fight. This has happened twice in her time with us. One female dog interpreted Gracie's play as an attack, and it turned into a fight that resulted in the other dog needing a trip to the vet to have several puncture wounds treated. When Gracie played too rough with another dog, he yelped and ran away, so that was the end of it. Gracie has ignored the small dogs in our home, so we're confident that she's not really a mean girl -- she just doesn't realize that her style of play is too rough for some dogs. A meet & greet will be really important if you have other dogs.
