Great Pyrenees / Irish Wolfhound / Mixed (long coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Large
Willow is a sweet your adult who was born on a farm to working livestock guardian parents. The farmer who bred his dogs said that her mom is Great Pyrenees, and her dad is half Pyr/half Irish Wolfhound. We haven't seen the parents, but would have guessed that Willow might be a Great Pyrenees/Komondor mix because she looks so much like others of that mix we have rescued. Although her parents were working dogs, Willow has lived as a family pet for her whole life. She was raised with young children and another dog in the home, and since coming to Bluebonnet, she has gotten along with all the dogs she has met, from a 7 lb Yorkie to a 135 lb Great Pyrenees. Her previous family says that Willow ignored their backyard chickens, but we haven't yet tested her with ours. Willow has been spayed and is current on her vaccinations and heartworm prevention. She is house-trained. The only bad habit reported by her previous family is that like many dogs, she likes to dig a hole to give herself a cool place to rest when she's in the yard. Easy solution -- don't leave her in the yard unattended for hours. Apply to adopt Willow and make her part of your family! www.bluebonnetrescue.org More about Willow JuneGood with Dogs, Good with Kids, Good with Adults, Affectionate, Intelligent, Even-tempered, Gentle Other Pictures of Willow June (click to see larger version):
