We don't know what his life was like before he landed in a small town shelter in East Texas, but Mickey has proven to be a true Gentle Giant who loves people and is a great guardian for goats. He seems OK with our chickens, but our chickens have a separate yard, so Mickey is only around them when we take him into the chicken yard. When we DO, Mickey seems more interested in the chicken food we scatter on the ground than in the chickens themselves. :)

Mickey is a big boy who loves to lean on his people, so he might do best in a home where the kids are a little bit older, just to be sure he doesn't knock a child down without meaning to. We think he would be very happy on a small homestead (less than 5 acres) with just a few animals and a family who will spend time with him and give him the affection and attention he craves, which he will certainly return in full measure.
