Akbash (medium coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Baby : : X-Large
Ace was born at Windsong Ranch to Akbash (possibly Akbash/Great Pyrenees) mom Elsa, who is also available for adoption. Elsa was pregnant when we rescued her from a backyard breeder whose operation was shut down by the local humane society and sheriff's department. We believe Ace's dad is another Akbash who was removed from that property, but there's a chance his dad could be a Pyrenees/Anatolian from that same breeder. Ace looks most like his mom and the Akbash male, so we think it's possible he is a purebred Akbash. But we can't know for sure because not surprisingly, we didn't receive any records from the breeder. Ace has been raised around goats, chickens, and ducks, and he LOVES to swim. He is a big boy -- he weighed 88 lbs at 10 months. Ace loves people more than he loves livestock, so we do not plan to allow him to be adopted as a working livestock guardian. He has done well with all the children he has met, and is so friendly that we think he would do really well in a family who will take him everywhere -- to kids' sporting events, camping, hiking -- wherever you go, Ace will probably enjoy tagging along.
